Friends, you’re here because you’ve never been in front of a camera before (or as much as others have) and you’re unsure what the heck to expect. That’s what I come in for! I’m here to guide you to being as comfortable as you can be when you show up so that way, you and your boo are 100% authentically yourselves and you two will SHINE in front of the camera.

It really helps that you fuse your nerves into excitement and realize that my sessions are FUN & we do a lot of running and throwing each other around! Of course I will give you a break between each crazy prompt I give you, but this isn’t your normal “smile and pose” shoot. It’s so much more than that. I’m here to capture your love in it’s freaking essence. I want you to look back on these pictures and remember how much fun it was, how much you laughed, and how much you got to kiss eachother. Sooooo, you ready to prep for this adventure?

Let’s dive in!

1.     BRING MORE THAN 2 OUTFITS.
Depending on the season, you will sweat like a pig. It’s good to bring extra change of clothes not just for the different locations but also to prevent having sweaty shirts in your gallery.

2.     BRING WATER/DRINK OF CHOICE.
Usually, if it’s a more laidback session, I will bring a 6-pack of your choice. Or even a wine bottle. But, especially if we’re moving around a lot, I want you to have water so no one is getting dehydrated and we stay energized. I give breaks during my sessions, especially if we’ve been running around like crazy hooligans, so that’s the best time to sip down some water before we start back up.

3.     BRING A SNACK.
If you’re adventuring with me, I highly recommend bringing a snack or two. Hiking, walking, and also taking pictures can be strenuous and we don’t need anyone passing out while we’re on this adventure. HAHA, please please don’t pass out on me. I would probably quit my job. But, for real, bring some food! Usually we do dinner before the sessions, but in case we can’t, bringing something to munch on will better serve ya guys to make sure we enjoy every moment of the session.

4.     BRING TOWELS.

Some of my shoots involve getting in the water, rain may unexpectedly come, or you may accidentally fall in some mud. (you never know what could happen!) so bringing a towel is beneficial!

5.     BRING COMFORTABLE SHOES TOO.
If we decide to hike, hiking shoes or running shoes will be best and we can always change into your dress shoes/sandals whenever it’s time to start taking pictures again!

6.     MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE THOSE PONYTAIL HOLDERS IN THE CAR.
Sometimes, I don’t’ notice you have the ponytails on your wrist just because I get so focused in on shooting you guys, so leave those at home as well as unwanted watches/bracelets, etc. Anything that you don’t want in the pictures, don’t bring! (jewelry/hat wise).

7.      LAST BUT NOT LEAST, BRING YO SELVES.
LOL, not just your physical selves, but your true genuine awesome personalities, too. I want to tell the story of you two and I want you to know it’s okay to be nervous and a little scared, because being in front of a camera is not normal. We are not Justin Bieber. Paparazzi doesn’t follow us around. But today, I will be your paparazzi. I will get you two comfortable so much that by the end of the shoot, you’re not gonna want to go home. It’s an experience and I’m here to let you guys enjoy each other in this special season of your lives.

I hope this resource helps you prepare. It’s more than just a session. It’s an adventure. No matter where we go and what we do. I am here to tell the world y’all’s story and I will do my BEST in every way possible to do that. I also want to show you guys a good time! It’s not everyday you get to go frolicking around with your main squeeze!

Xoxo,

Kaylina
